Meet the Businesses
NAMI Maine is honored to have the following, prestigeous businesses as partners in “The Way Work Should Be” (TWWSB) Program. These distinguished workplaces have taken the pledge to promote a stigma-free work environment. By signing on to be a TWWSB Member, they are setting an example and becoming a leader in their industry, community, and across our amazing state – proving that change truly starts at the top.
“I thought it was a great training that everyone could benefit from in both their personal and work lives. It makes you look at things from a different perspective, have more patience, give people some grace, to be less judgmental and how to be helpful than assume you know what’s really going on in someone’s head. Tori shared some great real-life experiences as a police officer, which I think helped people connect better rather than just talking about a scenario. Her stories of her own personal mental health struggles and her time in the police force really enhanced the training.
I would highly recommend she specifically come back to teach future classes. I think it’s safe to say everyone enjoyed her personality along with the content given. I’m anticipating we may want to offer the training again in 2024, given the level of interest we had. I’ll circle back next year. I have you have an enjoyable holiday season.”

Thanks again!”
