Mental Health in the Workplace

prioritize positivity & reduce stigma

Become a Distinguished Business

Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide. It costs the U.S. economy $210.5 billion per year in absenteeism, lost productivity, and medical costs. Across the globe, mental health conditions are taking a toll on employees and their productivity. And the stigma associated with having a mental illness makes accessing treatment even more difficult.

To address these issues, NAMI Maine has launched the game-changing initiative, The Way Work Should Be (TWWSB). The mission of TWWSB is to educate executive leaders on the impact mental illness is having on the workplace and assist them in developing policies and practices that prioritize mental health and reduce stigma.
